The Mary Shapiro Scholarship
Fund
The
Mary Shapiro Scholarship Fund was created by the
Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide founder Lois J. Shapiro-Canter,
J.D. to commemorate her mothers lifelong
commitment to the education of children and her
love of teaching.
Scholarships are awarded to students who are
enrolled in an education degree program that leads
to elementary, high school, undergraduate or graduate
level teaching. Scholarships are available to
individuals for payment of tuition and school-related
expenses. Candidates must be a high school graduate
and accepted at a four year undergraduate college
or university or graduate school. Scholarships
are awarded in September and January of each year.
Applications must be submitted at lease 60 days
prior to the month the scholarship is to be awarded.
