Our "Charitable Gift Planning: Ways to Contribute to The Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc." Guide can be obtained from our office. Excerpts are provided here to assist you in determining which of the various planned giving methods is suitable to your financial situation and objectives. Planned giving includes contributions made now and gifts which are deferred until a later date, sometimes after your death. Currently, we accept Cash Gifts, Tangible Property, Securities, Insurance Policies, Estate Bequest,and Gift Annuities as donations.

Our Donor Recognition Policy was established to honor all individuals, corporations, community organizations, and philanthropic foundations that make monetary and/or gift-in-kind donations to Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc. Donations may be made to memorialize and honor a loved one who has passed away.

Cash Gifts

You may make a gift of cash by sending a personal check, business check or business money order to Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc. 480 Broadway Suite 316 Box 4636 Saratoga Springs, NY 12866. Cash gifts to the Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc., a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization are fully deductible under the Internal Revenue Code. Your contribution will help fund the Women & Girls’ Gender and Multi-Cultural Equity Education Program which will enable each child to learn the value of women’s contributions in history, literature, the arts and sciences.

Gifts of Tangible Property

Gifts of tangible property which are related to the business purpose and operation of the Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc., are welcome and tax-deductible. You can contribute services, equipment and other gifts and receive a tax deduction. Almost any tangible personal property of value can be donated, including works of art, rare books, copyrights, and partnership interests. A generous contribution to the Pediatric Environmental Health Project will help to expose the correlation between environmental toxins and childhood illnesses. The Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc. team advocates for a safe, healthy world for all children.

Securities - Stocks, Bonds

Securities such as stocks, bonds, and other negotiable instruments are an excellent way to offer a charitable contribution to the Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc. The tax-deductible amount for such gifts is equal to the market value of the security given. There is great advantage to donating securities which have appreciated in value since the time of acquisition; the donor can avoid capital gains tax that would be payable if the securities were sold. Your generous support to the Biotechnology Program on Health and Genetically Engineered Food will educate communities about rBGH in milk and its link to breast, colon and prostate cancer.

Health Insurance Policies

You may make a gift of an insurance policy by naming the Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc. as the beneficiary. Your financial commitment will help to fund the Women’s Environmental Health Program’s research and worldwide lecture series on the link between cancer and other illnesses and environmental pollutants.

Bequests

You can make a bequest in your will to the Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc. Your financial support for the Biotechnology Program’s Women’s Human Rights Science and Technology Project will fuel research, monitoring and advocacy for individual human rights.

Annuities

A donor can establish a charitable gift annuity by contract and transfer money or property to the Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc., in exchange for a fixed annuity payable by the foundation during the life of the donor. You can receive annual income and an income-tax deduction on the gift. You may also create a deferred gift annuity to the Saratoga Foundation for Women Worldwide, Inc. which will permit payments to be deferred until you reach a certain age. Or, you may set up a trust to help accomplish your financial and charitable objectives. Your donation to the Women’s Health Care and Reproductive Rights Program will help to eliminate institutional and legal impediments on women’s reproductive health care decisions.
